Default Knock Link Questions

I'm interested in purchasing a "Knock Link" device from Import Palace. I own a SRT with a Snow Performance STG 2 Progressive W/In system. I'm interested in finding the max tune for the car and need the Knock Link to give me some feedback. I see that the Subies are using them with aftermarket ecu's.

What is your guys experience with it? Is it reliable, how was the install, is it worth the 189.00 or are there alternatives. Most importantly does it work?

Your help/info is appreciated.

I had one before I got my Tuner. It worked great and the install was cake. Just find a sutable bolt on the engine block and exchange it with one that's 10 mm longer. Install the sensor there. Run the wire throught a fire wall. Find a switch power souce and ground.

Thanks.

Did you need some factory "count" information to assure that the count is not to great or such to set the levels or does the user define the levels for the alert lights.

Do they sell used around here on your for sale board? And if so what is a good price.

Everyonce in a while you see them in the private for sale classified. They usually go pretty fast. I set mine on the most sensitive setting. I only saw knock ocassionally.

I picked mine up on a local sale. I don't use it for tuning, but it is a nice safety buffer. I bought a bolt at Home Depot, and used a spare bolt hole on the engine to affix the sensor.
