HID question: burn in time?
I read somewhere, something about burn in time for the HID bulbs. I just installed my 6K kit on monday, and have been driving with the headlights on since then, and not running the headlights with the car off. I did some research, and read the HID faq, but didn't see what i was looking for.

10 minutes after install, which is what McCulloch recommended

10 minutes on the inital install/start and then you'll see full color after 50 hours of use.

I'm assuming you're talking about color-shifting of the HID bulbs. They take anywhere from 50 - 100 hours of use for them to become more colorful

That's Interesting. My passenger STI headlamp needed replacement and a new one is on order now. Will the color be significantly different than the driver's side? Should I order a new driver's side bulb so that both colors are even?

on OEM HIDs you will not see a big difference since they mass manufactured, you'll probably have to give it a day or 2 and it'll look just the drivers side. After market hid kit are manufactured in batchs which is why they recommend you to purchase a pair of bulbs even if 1 goes out.
