Default Crank pulley torque spec.

I am going to be putting on a used aftermarket lightened crank pulley and was curious if anyone knows what i should torque the bolt to? Is it the same as stock spec. or would it be less? Thanks

just installed the Perrin Lightweight C.P. and their instructions said 90 ft/lbs but before torqued, you should apply a thin layer of engine oil on the crankshaft bolt threads and head base (the flat part which will contact the pulley).

Again, this is not my opinion but what the instructions read (I installed the pulley about 2 weeks ago)

no problem with the install. took me from 30-45 minutes. I don't see a year listed for your car but I think it should be the same as long as the miles are relatively low and mine are at about 34k for an '02.

the most difficult part was to remove the old pulley. pull on the top, then the bottom wiggling it as you go. eventually the pulley will come off.

Hardest part is getting the stock pulley off. After you break loose the bolt, sliding it off of the peg it's on will be difficult. I used a giant pry bar and taught the thing a lesson.

Getting the belts back on afterwards was also a chore... but working it on with a BFScrewdriver did the job.
