Default DUMB QUESTION? HID ballast placement?

HI PEOPLE!
This may sound like a stupid question.
Where do you mount the HID ballast.
I purchased a set of GENUINE SUBARU JDM GDB version 7 HID's (OEM HID , NOT A KIT) projectors for my '02 WRX
Currently waiting on the plug & play Wire harness to install
But at first glance, my right side (passanger) HID headlamp will not fit in. Due to the MAIN wire harness coming out of the fender "running" behide the headlamp. MUST BE moved?! (not much room though, ABS PUMP)

ALSO but probably more important is HID ballasts. (separate from headlamps)
WHERE & HOW do I mount them into the car??(must be on or near the back of headlamp,to plug in)
PLEASE HELP with all info and PICTURES of any similar setups.
I like to work on my car MYSELF with any and all "mods"
I plan on doing this myself, I just need some "pointers" please.
thank you-
JERRY

So, are these the OEM HIDs or non-HID JDMs with an HID kit? If they're genuine JDM HIDs the ballasts would be built into the housings, non-HIDs with retrofit would have external ballasts.
I haven't seen reports of difficulty with mounting clearance with these lights, not sure what your situation is. Some pics would help.

Hm, would definitely like to see pics. I don't know why the ballasts would be separate if those are the genuine HIDs.

Ballasts are separate on the bugeye OEM HIDs. The ignitors, however, are integrated into the headlamp.

I have the driver's side ballast sitting in front of the battery. The passenger's side is directly behind the headlamp, under the harness that comes out of the fender. They seem happy there.

I had truble putting in the passanger side head light too, but after pulling back on the main harness and twisting of the head light it poped right in
