Hmm... first off I have NOT done this, so take it for what is worth... I am kinda worried that youre installing a MBC yet really dont know where it goes. I hope you have an accurate boost guage and are really careful, these things can be dangerous.
I know for sure there are several writeups un this install on the internet for WRXs and FXTs, yours should be pretty much the same. The only vacuum lines you need to mess with are the ones for the wasegate actuator. If I recall, a line comes out of the compressor side of the turbo, T's off, one side going to the factory boost solinoid and the other going to the wastegate actuator (little tin can diaphram thingy with a rod coming out). You should be able to disconnect the line to the factory boost solinoid, then insert the MBC in the line between the nipple on the compressor side of the turbo and the wastegate actuator. THis should help you at least locate the lines in your car. Try searching the web for installs on SUbies and also follow the instructions for the Perrin (pretty basic, yet pretty good). Hope this helps you in some way. Good luck, be careful. You can also install it in place of the factory boost controller, I am not really sure what you had in mind. There are instucts on Scooby Mods: MBC instructions
I would re-emphasize: You must have a boost gauge or you will not be able to set it correctly. |
