You can see the comparison in these pics.
The GF rails are more angular and higher
The GD rails on my car are lower and more curved

Thanks for the info apoopoo999. I had JDM/EDM roof rails on my red wagon, but I was able to score a good deal on them from ebay.co.uk. If I ever find myself in another GF, I will definitely go the GG route. GG guys seem to not like having roof rails.

Here is my 97 phase 2 ej251 swapped 2.5 Outback RS. Finnished the swap yesterday morning. Have about 230miles on it with a list of future mods a mile long. Bought some 17's today. Waiting on tires now.

Drove it a few weeks ago for the first time in ~3-5 months (I think my dad drove it a little over 3.5 months ago). Battery was totally dead so I had to wait for a neighbor to come donate some of his electrons.

Monster truckin on stock suspension before taking it to an empty valley road I just stumbled upon.

Then drill a new hole and screw it back together.

You dont need to import rails from japan. The modified GD rail bolts directly to the GF roof.
read two posts later...confirmed. Never seen that done on a GF but it looks very nice!

Thanks everyone! What I really like about the plate is that it can mean so many things. Most people just see the word Swag, but I often see it as Sport Wagon cause, well that's what it is!

I have a chargespeed front lip and painted skirts and spats that I'd like to get on soon. Had a paint quote made up, $810...Think I'll be holding off on that for a bit until I get my Jetta going again lol.

There are a few vids of it on my youtube page. WRXJIM
