how do you guys put up the STI roof wing???? i got mine and several autobody shops refused to put it up for me because where the holes located on my wing, it requires them to drill the window they dont want to risk it. how did everyone put up theirs????

Did you get the metal brackets that mount to the window? The brackets are usually attached to the doublesided tape or urethane windshield adhesive. I used a little of both on my wings. There is no drilling through the window required.

Alternativley if you didnt get the metal brackets, (which incidently are the same from any roof spoiler from an Impreza) you can just Eurathane it straight to the rear window, because on all the Subarus I have seen the brackets are eurathaned to the window as well.

so no drilling are required in this case i was going "bond" the wing as my second alternative...because i kinda questioned it's durability...but since everyone is doing it then ME TOO Thanks everyone...

Updated pics of it running:

Rocking it with stripped interior, weighed in at 2680lbs even with the full tank of gas, spare, extra tools and half of the interior in the back but not installed...

Once I'm done with finals week I should be able to get it all back together.

Here is my mates JDM STI Its actually the sister car to mine, both purchased at the same time from the same dealer in Japan, then both sold to me and shipped to New Zealand. They then went there seperate ways. one to me and this one went to a new family, only to return to my friend a year or so later They were destined to be near each other I tell ya!
