Default 2005 STi: Location of remote map selector

I'm wondering where people with 2005 STi's are putting their remote map selector for the UTEC. The only available tab is next to the HID height adjust and is the wrong size.

Help!

I removed my ashtray assembly, and placed my garage door opener and remote map selector in there.

It isn't nearly as slick as the 2002-2004 setup using an available switchblank...

Thanks guys. Not as clean as one would want, but it will do. Hopefully somebody will step up and put a switch in a slightly bigger blank so you can use the available blank next to the I/C sprayer button.

I did it in the switch cover next to the HID . then I put the soft part of the velcro on the blank cover so I can put the cover back in the hole covering the map selector. i'll edit and show picts of this install.

Like someone else suggested, I did it in the ashtray location, bought some 1/8" plexi at home depot for a couple bucks, then hot glued it in place with 2 cut outs, one for serial cable and one for the remote mount. Side benefit is it glows green at night. was going to paint it, but didn't feel like it.

glove box...

Still easy to change settings, even on the fly, and more secure for valet and security settings, especially with glove box locked. Self-contained lock box inside the glove box for extended parking.

I couldn't do that, as I have fog lights installed, and use the other blank to hold my Passport remote indicator/mute. Ashtray was the only decent place left without cutting.
