Default Is anyone actually still using a 56k modem?

I think this warning has outlived its usefulness.

Do they often visit OT and click on threads?

No, but sometimes I do when we visit there. It's not quite as bad as watching the corn grow.

my 'rents switched to cable a few months ago - they were getting about 26kbps max on their old ass phone lines. They had to wait until cable was run down their road before they could do anything. Now that they actually have cable TV and internet for the first time in their lives you can't get them out of the house.

I think the warning is outdated, but at least it lets you know some dumbass has dropped a big picture in the thread and you can skip it if the title isn't interesting enough to take the extra 7 seconds.

Whatever, I'm out of this thread, your ignorance is surpassed only by your ability to leap from a single fact or story to a totally unrealistic conclusion.
