Did anyone else try this????

BTW here is an update

Hey, I know that guy! Samir is here-NASIOC-Baja forum a lot.

If it werent a bajillion dollars I'd get one. I mean, a tonneau for a freakin full size truck costs half as much with twice the options. So I'll be building my own. If I had that scratch I'd get one, and build one

Anyways, Mr. Holland, are you going to the huge NESIC Scooby meet? I'm going to try to carve a spot in the calender for this event. Us Baja people need to hang together to fight off all the drooling Impreza owners.
NY NJ PA ect folks are invited also. Technically its a No East meet get together http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=750593

Hmm...I didn't I did get to see another of the local Yellow Bajas when I went to the dealer today... It was parked in the customer parking area, dont know why it was there...

Does anyone have a link to the hard top open? I remember it opens in front & rear, just wondering what it looks like. It's been so rainy & cold here lately, I dont wanna play with the one at the dealer.

Here is one you might like. It is Cab Shell High.

http://www.4are.com/product/baja/ or the one made by Snug Top.

http://www.snugtop.com/p_snuglid_sl.htm just scroll down until you get to the Yellow Baja. SNUGLID "SL is the model.

My bad. I seen that one before. It only comes on the Turbo Baja. I don't know how many people want to order that thru my parts department. So when are they going to make to the public? I have not heard anything yet.

hey, holland_patrick, I just got a call from my subie dealer about that part number. They're telling me it's JUST the hard cover, it does not include the mounting kit. When you pushing those buttons, did they mention the mounting kit by any chance?

They'll order that part number (supposedly on order right now), they're just telling me its only the cover, no mounting anything...I have to wonder what exactly is needed to mount it.

This true, I looked up the part number today. From what I have gathered. The plastic Bedliner in the Turbo has beened groved for the cover. You can't just can't buy it thru parts. Yes, the have replacement parts. Our Rep came in, I asked here her about it. She looked like a Deer in Headlights. :l

DoD0 Brown how about you pull some strings and talk to that rep of yours and tell her to get on the ball and get you a BUNCH of covers to offer us at a discount. Everyone I talk to with a Baja wants a cover. I really don't understand what all the feet dragging is all about. For cristsakes they're turning Bajas into horsepwoer monsters which are faster than STIs, we can handle a simple bed cover install.

I know what you mean, I've delt with Saturn parts reps before. They are happy when everything is going by the book, they are dumbfounded if you're actually making money using non-company stuff. "OMG this parts guy is straying from The Company! "

They make double on what you sell, you make double what you sell to the public, Napa makes double on the Chinese stuff they sell to the public that doesn't want to spend the big bucks on your stuff. I think thats why Subaru of New England is pre-selling these things, they see dollar signs.

SNE IS not Preselling them I had to complain to SOA to get mine ordered that was the Only way I could do it. SNE is not artherized to take orders on that part because it's not in thier invatory YET. he told me I would have to go out side the area to order it(maryland) That got me pissed and i complaint to SOA and SOa called the dealership and I was told to call back that i could order the part now. the parts guy said i had to do it that way and he was hoping i would complian because they are not allowed to talk to SOA directly they haver to go though SNE to get the part and that would be an act of god..

I still don't understand all the ass draggin. We emailed SOA also and got all the bla bla bla. I don't understand why they cant sell it as an accessory. My guess is that they're trying to keep it exclusive to the special edt MY05 turbo models. But they are giving the "Baja tonneau cover" demand to all the aftermarket companies when they could have it all for themselves. Oh well, I give up. I can't wait to see what you get. I hope its a complete kit and they don't send you all over hell to find hardware for the install. If you need help on the install let me know.
