Blingen with the newly painted rims. I deffinatly like them. Lights look good too. Looks like you got some condinsation going on in your drivers side light though. At least someone knows how to take their baja offroading juding by that engine bay! I take mine slight off roading on some dirt trails.

I like the lights, did you bake the headlights? Looks like youve got some rust on your wheels...

with all that dirt and offroading, Ide think youde want something that filtered the air more. How does that feel, sound?

Ooh..forgot, I cut the bottom part of the bumper off. It was broken for a while from the "not on the road driving" Removed the fogs too, they also broke:-/ Yes. I baked the lights. I followed the threads on the how to-s. It isn't condensation. lol. You made me run out to see if it was. It was just the sunglare.

Thanks,
Frank X.

Hey,

Links to the lights: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...ght=headlights
http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/sho...threadid=384488
http://www.scoobymods.com/forums/sh...28&page=2&pp=15 http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/sho...39&page=1&pp=25
The lights were easy. Set ove to 200 degrees f^o. Let warm up. IMPORTNAT!!! REMOVE BULBS 1ST!!!! Place headlight unit in oven on tray. Set for 20 min. I let it go for 23 min, but I kept checking on them. Take them out. Pry them apart w/o busting them(the plastic gets soft) I had to break the rubber sealer.

Pop out the ambers. They are glued in 2 spots. But they pop right out.
Masked off the desired chrome on the outter bezzel. Painted it with .93c walmart flatblack paint. Let air dry in the heat/sun/etc. It was slightly windy and the paper it was on fliped up and took some paint So I sanded that spot down a bit and painted over.

When dry, put all back together and redid the oven steps. Pushed it all backtogether tightly as possible. Screwed back together. ~fin~

The wheels:

$5.00 antique brass metallic from your lowes or home depot or whereever. Get 2 cans. Removed all wheels, kept tires on.
Used a "scuffpad", yes, technical term, lol, scuffed the mess outta them. All over. Everywhere. Tedious. Alot....:-D Wax and grease remover to clean the rims. Do more then once. Masked off tire, but still got overspray. lol. O whell. We used my wheels as a class project at school so I got credit for it eitherway. Painted. Between 2-3 light coats. Unsure because I wasn't the only painter. Next semester, when we learn clear, I think I'm going to shoot them with a clear pearl coat with the airgun. That, or a semigloss finnish. I love the sheen on it now. ~fin~

Thanks,
Frank X.
