Default Colonial Subaru-Danbury CT (parts)

I'll keep this short and to the point. Their parts department is incompetant and have no clue what they are doing. I had to explain what I needed several different times and show them the actual part in the car and they still could'nt find it. Below is a longer story of what took place:

I decided to go to Colonial parts for some simple parts that I needed. Oil Filters, crush rings etc. I also need several trim clips that were either lost or broken from when I installed some stereo components. It took over half an hour to locate in his parts catalog, the clip(s) which hold the dead pedal,or foot rest in place. He kept insisting that the part we were looking for was in the pedal page, and could not find it. I asked him to check with the carpeting and mats, well he did, but scrolled through the pages so fast there was no way we could have seen it! He went back to the pedal page and became frustrated. He went back to the managers office for a few minutes and came back and said he had them in stock. Great, well he disappears and comes back and said the were missing and will have to SO them. Fine.

After that, I decided to ask for another peice that I needed for my rear brakes H6 upgrade. AFAIK, I don't think I was speaking another language today, but after he said he had the part I was talking about he came back with something completely different, brake pad clips.... I couldnt understand how he came up with this, but he insisted this is what I needed, I disagreed. He then lost his temper with me, for no reason, I was not being rude or wise. The Parts manager came over and yelled at me. I responded with several deffensive comments and walked out..... I am really appalled with the way I was treated at this dealership.

Their Parts department sucks. They are very imcompetant and really rude. The guy i was dealing with made it sound like he was doing me a favor by looking up a part number...last time i checked that was your job. They are lazy and suck at thier simple minded job....i was wasting my time so i walked out.

Oh yea when i was walking out, they guys says to me "hey dont come back" right in front of some co-workers ....have fun explaining your behavior there bud, when would you ever tell a customer to never come back to buy parts? Its okay ill just order my parts online that undercut your crappy prices...

Overall I've had a good experiences with them, and I originally bought my car there. The last time however, I was a little bit miffed.

I brought in my car to get a rear bearing inspected and replaced, which they did, but i requested they check out the other bearings, specifically the front left one which has gone bad before (and suffered a horrible impact on a pothole driving into brooklyn about 2-3 months ago)

When I picked the car up, the noise from the rear had ceased and it appeared fine, and they noted on my repair invoice that there was excessive "road noise" from the front tires.

Of course when I get in the car and drive around a bit, the unmistakable noise of a messed up bearing at around 40-50 mph. complete with the vibrations at highway speeds, leads me to conclude that they were full of crap and inspected nothing.

If anyone knows a good dealership or independent near here i would be very grateful. i used to use the one in brewster ny, which thought i should replace the whole back end to the tune of 2k when i brought it in, and this was without actually talking it apart! (i think they just wanted to sell me a new car)
