I was wondering when you were going to put these up here (nasioc.com). I love when they pop up in your section on i-club. However, IMHO I think they (dyno sheets) might be better off suited in the proven power bragging section.

We have been doing a bunch of Subaru's lately, and of course alot of Evo's too (roughly 15-20 per weekend, dyno days all over the country for the past month and a half )

that seems low for a green. What does stock sti baseline on your dyno?

Why does his boost tank at ~6560 rpm? Looks like a mechanical problem I used to have...are there any pre-turbo intake mods to this car?

aaronwrx: stock sti's usually baseline around 220-225whp on a dyno-dynamics dyno. ~300whp on this dyno is about right on 91 octane

Stockers have done as low as 210whp on our dyno. But usually they are around 215whp. The boost falls off because I mapped it that way. On 91oct, a mild boost taper after peak torque followed by a sharp boost taper after max hp keeps the system far more resistant to knock.

So with the green you only make 82 hp over stock, but your TBE and reflash make 70? I thought it was around 70 for the TBE and then once going to the green you would expect 120 total increase? (all on 91 pee of course, closest thing I have to race fuel is 92 )

Not to sound like an a-hole, but with 05 STi equipped with "our Stg 2 kit (FP Green, 850cc injectors, Sig turbo back, fuel pump and, of course, our Vishnu Reflashed ECU)"
shouldnt you be hitting upwards of 350WHP? Also, you look to be running pretty rich, leaned up to around 11:1, and tapered down to 10:5 at redline wouldnt you make quite a bit more power?

Most Stage 2 (TBE and reflash) are getting numbers around 300WHP on 93. I guess this is on 91? Anyway, I guess tuning on 91 craptane just sucks the power out of these cars.

Also, on an STi, who calls a Green, injectors, fuel pump, etc Stage 2!?!?! Whats your stage 3?

You're getting wheel hp and crank/brake hp confused. An 82 WHP increase is not the same as an 82 BHP increase.

It's a dyno-dynamics, which reads (on average...) 12-15% lower than your typical dynojet. But yes, the 91 octane does tame the power output of these cars a bit.

PS - I don't think Shiv needs any help with "afr tuning strategies" (bad joke, referencing something else).

FWIW- Vishnus stage 1 (for the STI - TBE & reflash) put down 300whp, 300wtrq on Turbotrix's dynojet dyno...most likely 93oct. With that said, the 297whp on Vishnus DD would translate to 335-350 on a dynojet on 91oct fuel. 93oct might make 10-15whp more than 91oct.

Who is Vish?

We do tune cars without cats. They are called racecars and they are subject to a $65 environment fee. It goes towards my artificial lung replacement that's due to me in 20-25 years.

cheers,
shiv

If you're trying to make me look bad, it worked. Looks like I really owe you that Hooters now. Hit me up when you are ready for the lung transplant, I'll chip in.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't think I would ever refer to a dyno plot that looks like Mt. Everest in both torque and hp as having great power and gobs of midrange torque.

Was the reflash custom tuned or just a plug in like Cobb's?

Yeah I am confused, stock wheel hp is 215 stage 2 is 297 difference = +82 WHP

How much WHP does the stage 1 add? Claimed is 70 BHP so that is less in WHP?
