FS: Going to be selling my Alpine 3555 amps in the next few weeks. Anyone interested?

Many of you have seen the amps in my car/heard them in person. In my neverending quest for more power it's time for me to move on and get even crazier amps.

I have 2, near-mint condition, Alpine 3555 amps from circa 1990.

Specs:
50 watts RMS x4 @ 4ohm
150 watts RMS x2 @ 4ohm

I have the original manual/box for one of them, but I will make pdf copies of the manual for all interested parties.

I also have an Alpine Type R 10in subwoofer that will go as well.
It's a 4-ohm DVC subwoofer (4ohm per coil)
Model: SBR-102-CR

I'm thinking $150 for each amp and $125 for the subwoofer (in box)

Try to keep the hatin to a minimum...

That sub's not a cheap entry-level driver. Low-end response is very very nice out of it, plus the clarity is pretty amazing.

These amps are JDM tyte y0 (made by alpine of japan before they sold).

Also classic and guaranteed to retain value if kept in good condition.

that black mounting board behind the amps is cool, and u can ziptie the wires to it, looks clean. I woulda just hid the wires under carpets and stuff, but that looks clean

what do vented box's do? hit a note harder but dont sound as clean as sealed, is that right ?

Ported enclosures are tuned to certain frequencies and are very efficient in that range.

It won't reduce quality.

Sealed subs have a flatter response and can be more punchy depending on the size of the box you put them in.

I may be keeping the sub if the woofer works in my new enclosure I'm making...

Someone go for the amps, I'd hate to put them on ebay and ship them across the ocean again.

That 150's actually understated though. I checked the manual and that's actually 200w bridged =)

The 150x2 is from the 3553 I have under my desk at home. =P
