Default Subaru Widebody

Has anyone seen a lot of the Subaru Widebody? The rumor is that South Coast Subaru has a widebody subaru. Can anyone confirm this? I called Ferdie but it seems he will not show pics yet.

^ that was harsh, and i could have done without seeing that... how can people do that to a car. and as far as the gimmie gears kit being ugly i dont know how you can say that. its almost a perfect copy of the WRC car. but to each their own

Actually, the rumor is Ferdie has to testify before congress first...something about steroid abuse (or did he say hemorrhoids? ), before he can show the SC "Hammerhead".

Just a rumor of course! We also hear the car is topless.

I think the Gimmie Gears kit is alright, but it deviates from the WRC car in a couple of areas that definitely detract from the aesthetics:

1. On the rear flares. The WRC car has a flared-out lower rocker panel, the GG kit tucks it in to meet with the stock rocker below the rear door...that looks weird.

2. On the front flares the crest of the hump is too far in front of the wheel and it looks a little strange. It gives the appearance that to flare is elongated and assymetrically placed around the front wheels.

One of the kit is for an 02-03 wrx and the other is the 04-05 style Impreza.

I know, I was mostly trying to illustrate the rear rocker difference (which should be the same between GD and GE).

On the front, I'm fairly certain the GD WRC car doesn't have the hump crest in front of the wheel.

that is also the new 05 WRC car. if you find a pic of the 04 its a lot closer. and back to the 02 then your almost perfect, except fopr the front of the rear wheel.

the car pictured above will be at RIM so you can check it out in person there

I remember seeing the gimmie gears wide body a couple years ago at Rim. It didn't look all that great...

Ferdie - I can't wait to see the new and improved car at Rim. Who else will be showing their cars over there?
