Default ILL.S on the STi cluster

I have the USDM STi cluster on my car, and on top of the odometer the tripometer has the a. trips, b. trips, then the ILL.S which i have no idea what is suppose to be on the actual STi...anyone with STi know?

its the illumination of the cluster. it dosent dim with ur regular dimmer so its the light dimmer for the cluster

5 is always bright though. 4 and lower will lower the illumination when lights are on

so im guessin the sti has a button or knob to adjust cuz the wrx dont got it or i just dont know how to adjust it...

you press it till it says ILL.S and then you use the shift light adjuster knob (the left side) to adjust it. the end.
