I have a Dastec on my car, I know it is old. but I bought the car with it. i am having some problems with it. I bought the car in california, and the car was tuned in texas, anyhow I brought the car back to Salt Lake City where I live and the car will not boost above 10-11lbs it was boosting 14-15 in california and was fast. now it isn't so much, any ideas? could it have started to bleed boost? It has an ihi vf29 upgraded tmic, and bov, and downpipe. any help other than go to cobb and give them $1500 for an accessport and tuning would be great, they also recommended against just adding a boost controller.

Could it just be the elevation in SLC? Maybe you just need it retuned for the elevation (approx 4000+ feet?).

they won't tune it. they will only tune the accessport. and i am not a big fan of dyno tuning. would rather street tune. more realistic.

well then the next closest place i can think of is matrix in portland or some where in denver
more realistic ..sorta a load based dyno like the mustang is significantly different than say a dynojet that you can produce partial loads and there by tune for them.. the mustang uses magnetic resistance vs weight resistance |
