You should get better than that... Last tank with probably 80-100 miles highway and the rest city I got about 20-21mpg (which is pretty normal for me)... and I'm not exactly your slowest driver.

With that kind of mileage you might as well go get you a v8 so at least it doesnt cost you as much to go fast.

Mods: TBE exhaust + Up-pipe
Maintenance: Regular maintenance as recommended by Subaru

Just got that checked out on Monday and was pretty shocked... of course, slamming through the gears on a freeway entrance ramp is HEAVEN, so that might be why.

Damn..

That's a lot of gasoline.
You haul 5 people everyday?

In average, my STi gets 19 mpg (city/hwy combined)
This is yearly average of every fill up.
The best fill up was 23mpg hwy and the worse was hehehe 12mpg on track days.

WRX should be around 20 city 25 hwy I think.

Here's mine:

Lately, I've been getting poor mileage - around 22 mpg (mostly city) or 280 miles per tank. If I do all highway, I can get up to 330 miles per tank (~25 mpg).

Lately (last two tanks) I've made an effort to go easy on the gas pedal, shifting between 3-4K occasional full throttle to get into/past traffic. I've been getting 23-25 mpg for those two tanks, this is just driving to work stop and go stuff. Before, driving normally (like my hair was on fire) I'd get 17-19 mpg. Track day I got 8 mpg.

i guess i will be doing a tune up on my car in the coming week, anything you guys can think of to help get my mileage back up? Besides laying off the throttle?

I plan to get a new air filter, and plugs, and run a bottle of fuel injector cleaner.. what else should i do.

Every fill-up I do the math, typically it is 22-25mpg
Once I drove to west texas, got flat on 30mpg on that trip.

something's been wrong with my car since the day i bought it. I though it may go away by break-in, but with me slowly accumulating the miles, it never got any better. Now it's modded and I know Subaru will laugh at me if I bring it in.

all City = 150-170 to a tank
all Hwy = 220 - 270 to a tank

Just to let you know, there is no such thing as 93.5 being sold at the pump. I reported Shell for this very thing. I work in the gas production buisness. If they are charging you any more than 93, run away
