How fast did you go on the way home? Seems like that thing would just want to lift off.

I think its 800 limit. It says in the owner's manual, but ours is misplaced at the moment.

I bet that big block is 500. Mmmm big block salivating

I got up to 60mph a couple times. I opened the sunroof, then closed it. Way too much fresh air being directed right on me.

On the door it says 800 Cargo and Passengers.. I think that is way off i mean 4 Guys going out on the town for the night would over weight it...I guess that means not taking the subaru for boy's night out..

PS I had 860lbs in the back with 1 1/2 lift to the front and 2 inch depression to the back..

We don't need no stinking trailers. Take a look at the pictures floating around in here. I like the gravel picture and the big block pics the best

actually, a trailer would be nice.

Default My turn

I posted my Baja with a Christmas tree last Dec. It stuck out about 8 feet from the back.

This is a crate I built to carry my mini Ford Model T (former life a Shrinners parade car). I do school presentations on Henry Ford and the early automobile and take it as my attention grabber.

Anyway.... this crate pretty much takes the Baja to its limits. There is very little suspension left when it is loaded. Lately I have been using a trailer instead as it kills my back to load and unload the mini Model T. The crate I load using my tractor front end loader.

I have a T bar supporting the back of the crate. I had it custom made to help haul larger items. It slides in the reciever hitch.

Yup, that is squashed.
I hear ya. We used to race karts, it was so much easier rolling karts off the trailer instead of picking them up and out of the truck. Phew!

I recall recently seeing that on the SOA Web site the load limit has been pushed over 1000 pounds. Go figure. I have stiffer springs in mine now, so it loads much, much better than before. Not nearly as much butt - dragging(from the car at least).

It was down when I ran into it with my jetta. It was smushed a lot more before I worked it from the inside. Currently saving some dough for a new tailgate.
