I have a 2002 WRX. Which software version is the one that I need? Which is the latest? Which is the best? How much can I expect to pay? What's the lowest price out there?

Any version except the sti and evo should work. I dunno how much of a difference the newer utec versions would make if any. I saw a version 5a in the classified section for $600 with the map switch(someone already has dibs on it though...).

So you wouldn't have any problem or worry about going with a used UTEC? I was going to buy a new one with the 6b version for $850. It comes with the remote switch.

I'd only be worried that the person selling it to me might not send it to me just like any product I buy from a random person over the internet. Course I'm paranoid. If it's a working utec, I don't really see the benefit of getting a new one.

For that price, get a new one. It will have a higher resell value when you go to unload it. |
