The only road that I travel that is on that list is rt24. I dont know "next week" is supposed to start, but I have yet to notice a cop on rt 24. Although I also travel 287 (between exits 37 and 59) which is not on the list, but I have noticed a lot of cops on that road but that trend started about a month or so ago. There are a lot more cops on that highway but always in the same spots. Although twice now I have seen someone pulled over after exit 47 but before that long wall on the right side, and I can't figure out where the cop would hide there.

I am going to have to start taking it easy.

on Rt 80 eastbound, as you go down the big hill from denville into parsippany, that infamous speed trap right across from the 46/202 exits were a silver Civic and Highlander.. drivers were talking to each other and facing opposite directions.

although i dunno if a Civic can catch a WRX

Chain emails are pranks and or misinformation by their very nature.

Yeah that place is the autobahn now, If you look carefully, right before the first part of the wall there are rut marks, and I've seen them there. They will also sit right after the waughaw (sp) bridge, theres an access road they back up into. There is one gap in the wall as well, with a fence in it they can sit in, And then at the very end with the Route 23 south exit in sight on the right at the end they will tuck in behind the wall there too. So watch yourselves on 287 now....

The sebring was a convertible, and the top was up . I couldn't believe it either, until I saw the ticket and asked a friend that's a cop. He laughed and said there are a couple other weird cars around like that, mostly from seizures, that they conceal strobes and lights in and use for unidentified cars.

This isnt really new news, when dont troopers patrol these roads? I live right down the street from the new barracks off of 195 and 130, they're all over the place constantly.
Peace,
Kyle

Last week, while heading south on 287 coming from Mahwah, I saw a state trooper parked BEHIND the end of the acoustic barrier on the northbound side.....as in, you'd never ever see him, or get a laser/radar notice until you were borked.

Hmm...

Chain letters are chain letters, no matter if they are electronic or paper. They always turn out to be hoaxes, although a quick search through the usual channels doesn't seem to bring this one up (google/symantec/hoaxbusters). At least not yet...

Frankly, however, why should anyone need a warning about normal police activity? Speeding violations are a major source of ticketing income. Did anyone notice that the speed limit on the GSP outside of Kenilworth dropped down to 45MPH within the recent past? Ridiculous.

This is kinda irrelevant, but ive seen people being pulled over in Delaware by a green Grand Caravan. No markings on it, just a few strobes.

Tonight coming home from 280W (Oranges) to 80W (Denville) saw three unmarked Impalas with normal plates (no SG plates) cruising and I saw an unmarked Durango and PT Cruiser pull somebody over on 80E. Also, I've noticed the local police have been inheriting unmarked cars too, and they certainly have been increasing their presence on RT 10 and 46.

I was just going to post in this saying... I got pulled over by an unmarked silver impala on route 80E. Saw him flying up the left lane and saw that it was an impala. He then stomped on his brakes about a hundred feet behind me. I was in one of those clearings between traffice and was just coasting. He then snuck up on my left side and tried to stick close to my blind spot and slightly behind me... meaning my rear driverside seat.. to just behind me on the left side. He would then coast and try to pace me. I was with a buddy and bored (and stupid).. so we said what the hell... we'd would go from 60-about 73/74 just to be idiots and mess with the guy. He threw on strobes and all and pulled us over. Statie in full uniform steps out, and walks up my passenger side with his partner standing behind my car (my passenger pointed that out, I didn't see him). License, registration blah blah blah, and before lookin at them looks up at us and goes, is this here car stolen? I know there are a lot of these getting taken lately. I explained to him obviously it wasn't but thanks for caring to check and watch out for us.He smiled and lightened up a whole lot, said he likes these cars a lot, its a shame they are on the hot list like they are and that most staties think these are easy ticket magnets. He looks at my credentials, then I get an "exactly what were you just doing back there.....?" I said that I knew he was a trooper and that he was pacing me, and basically we were just doing it for ****ts and giggles.. He walks around the car, asks if everything is up to shape and nothing is crazily illegal. I said to be honest, sir, i think my clear corners are questionable but the man at the inspection booth said clear or orange would work, so if they are illegal I will take them off tommorow but I have never had any problems with them. He goes, nope, I dont see any problem with that I won't bust ya for that. Then he kinda laughs and shrugs, I guess we were that obvious huh? I kinda laughed it off too and said yep... He said, oh well, thanks for the practice.. have a good night and drove off. Probably the first cool state trooper I have encountered.. looking back, we are complete idiots for doing it, and could have gotten hit with a ticket but we were honestly so damn bored we wanted the entertainment, and I think he did too.
