Default Will GC8 Motor X-member fit a bugeye

I know this is just backwards to what most people do.
Will the crossmember under the motor from a GC8 fit the new age impreza?

Thanks

I would imagine so if it works vice versa and you are putting the GC8 on non-turbo GD*.

Hrrmmm? I haven't been under my car in a while. Is it just interference or do the control arms bolt to the x-member?

Well, I would guess that because you have to shim them going from GD* >> GC*, the control arm brackets would be too wide going GC*> GD*.

You can grind down the metal bushing on the GD arm and it will fit. The only real difference between the arms is on the GD one the inner metal part sticks out further on both sides, the arm itself (bushing carrier part) fits in there fine.

Good to know. Thanks.
I will try to find a GD* 2.5rs xmember as that seems like the easier but more expensive way to do what I need. This was a plan B I needed to straighten out. Also I think there are more GC* motor swaps going on than the GD*.

I'm sure you can find a GD 2.5 that someone has swapped a EJ20 into. It seems like there would be several peeps on here who could help.

Why do you need an N/A crossmember? Just curious.
