Default Cel Wont Stop Flashing

i have a 04 wrx. my mods are: invidia dp, gt spec uppipe, hks catback, txs utec stage 2.5.

out of nowhere, my utec started acting up. i thought it might have been defective, so i unplugged it and plugged in the factory ecu. now the CEL wont stop flashing. and when i plugged my utec back in....it blinks A WHOLE LOTTA TIMES. does anybody know how i can fix this, or know the problem? thanks

Are the two green plugs under the driver side dash connected? If so that is your problem and you must disconnect them, they should be hanging loose and will cause a constant flashing CEL if plugged together (among other things).

Try just disconnecting the battery and clearing the code?

unplug the battery and hold the brake for 30 sec. this will clear the computer of everthing.

if the green plugs are conected the cel light will flash, and the fans will keep turning on and off

This happens a lot, don't feel bad. Very often someone will be working under there and see those plugs hanging, and connect them assuming they are supposed to be connected. The result is usually a "what's wrong with my car?" post like this one.
