Yep, there's a couple running around town. A couple fridays ago @ United Cycle there was a three Skylines that showed up at the meet. One was a GTR.

I've seen one here in Calgary that's RHD. They're leagal depending on their age and when they were imported.

Yep all RHD. They all had passengers in the front seat too, probably to tell the driver when it was safe to make a left hand turn.

As of right now, if the build date on the car says 4/1990, it's good to go.

When I had my LHD Mustang GT in England the hardest thing was, well two things really. Passing trucks(lorries) was hard because I had to pull way out to see anything. But even harder was getting those damnable tickets in automated parking lots. Now in England they don't have drive throughs but they would be really hard in a RHD here.

Also note that RHD's have the pedals the same as we do here, but sometimes the wiper and signal selector can be switched. In England driving my RHD Toyota I constantly would switch on the wipers when turning corners.

Selecting gears was also wierd with the left hand.

As much as I'd like to have a R32 to play with, its still a 15 year old car. 14k would be alright, but 21? It would have to be mint with some nice JDM power toys.

If you put a deposit on one that's not quite legal yet, it'll be a lot chepaer. The cars that have "landed" in Canada are the ones that are overpriced.

The cars I've seen on Import Concern aren't that great, condition wise. If anyone's interested, try to contact www.jdmconnection.ca

The main concern is the body parts, if the car has accident, we have to wait for a long time to get the body parts from Japan.

Just got passed by a black one today on the connector between Kelowna and Merritt doing about 180-200 kph. I estimate the speed because I was doing the legal 110ish kph and only had time to read "GT-R" before it disappeared. It was the first one I've seen in person (albeit a little blurry).

Just to give an idea of the ludicracy of buying a GT-R that is 15 yrs old (or more) for over 20k....(asides from it being relatively RARE). You can buy a used GT-R with 50-70K in Japan for under 10K and I saw MANY for 5-7K that were heavily modded and in relatively good shape. For the same price you can get an almost brand new (2 yr old) WRX and put only a few thousand into it to have it be of the same power. Plus you have little wear and tear, readily available parts and technicians who can work on the car with confidence.

my 2cents...now if you could get an R34 for 20k...

20K for an R32 GTR is just not a wise thing to do - it has its niche but if you're willing to do some leg work, as tora said, you pocket that 10K profit yourself
