Default CT: JDM STi Recaro Seats (unique trade plus some $, check it out...)

Ok, here's the "unique" offer I have for ya:

I bought JDM STi Recaro front seats in February 2005 from King of Imports. They are awesome. I worked hard to track them down, and loved them even more once I got them in my 04 WRX. I drive the car every day and still love the seats. They look sick and are totally rare.

Sounds good? Good. Well, they sit about 1" lower in the car than the stock seats do, even when the stock driver's seat was adjusted all the way down. Not a problem for me, because I'm 6'3". I actually prefer the height of the Recaros, but my girlfriend can't drive the car comfortably. She does drive it with the Recaros, but she's not comfortable with sitting that low with no height adjustment (she's 5'7"). The seats bolt right into the floor of the car.

The seatback is adjustable, and they are waaaaaay more supportive than the stock seats were. No side airbags on the Recaros.

I want to trade these two seats for mint condition STi front seats, plus I want $300 cash. This is a sick deal, because I paid over $2000 for the Recaros (you'll get the receipt for your insurance company).

I need to do this with someone local, so there's no shipping involved. We can meet up and do the swap in under an hour.

I have many more pics in a thread on ClubWRX, email or pm me and I'll send you the links (I only have like 5 posts over here, so I can't post URL's yet).

Thanks
Bernie

done done done done done!!!! PM SENT I'm in Monroe.

dude - I'll drive up tonight - bring ya my last 6 pack of Bass in the fridge....give you a footrub (ok, maybe not)......I've been dreaming of these for a while - looked into 'em, but couldn't swing it.....please please please, really.

my seats are pristine - never drank, smoked, or ate in 'em....I'm anal about my car like that......

I just saw your car at XX Tuning this past Saturday!!! I was admiring your gauges and the shaved trunklock. I checked over at ClubWRX (responded there, too) and realized I was drooling all over your car while Tony was tuning the VF22. I truly can't believe it.......I was literally just telling Tony how nice they were.....but I don't believe you were around.....as I asked, and was looking for the owner. Too strange, and nice shaved lock. I was thinking.....something about this car I just like.....a few minutes later, it hit me......the lock, or lack thereof. Nicely done.

These seats are sweet, but no side airbags...only reason I wouldn't drive to CT to get them b/c this is one hell of a deal!!!

Very supportive seat, but I have the hangup that if in a wreck insurance would have my ass when there are not side airbags in my car when there is suppose to be.

There are just some things no matter how much I want to I don't modify b/c you just don't know what the hell could happen if something bad happened (Like modify steering wheel or seats that are suppose to have airbags to ones that don't) Even for insurance people who don't know **** about a car these are obvious things that would come up.

Could affect medical insurance, & overall insurance which is a big scare to me.

BUMP FOR A HELL OF A DEAL!

Yes and No. They are a million times better with better quality, support.

Put it this way they are real Recaros not our wannabe mass produced recaros.

My 04 Seats are having issues: on outside bolster the padding is gone and the bar in the bolster is wearing the **** out of my seat.

Only 12,000miles and already looking bad by 20k they will be worn thru.

I am bringing this up to my great dealership that is always very supportive to the customer not the SOA.

I mean wear and tear does happen on seats, but this is F'n rediculous.

If I were in CT I would trade in a heart beat - JDM V8 STi seats are too high on a GC for $300US I surely would have done it. Crap for living up in the NorthWest

Oh my, oh my. This was a little overwhelming, but the seats are SOLD!!

It's actually a little sad to part with them, but they're going to a good home. StiDayDreamin makes out like a bandit.

Thanks very much everyone that replied and bumped.
