Default What is EJ22T oil pressure?

I was doing a little research trying to determine how much more pressure the oil pump for the ej22t puts out compared to the wrx. I found some numbers for the wrx, but haven't turned anything up for the 2.2. I'm assuming someone with an ej22t has an oil pressure gauge (and I hope to soon).
The wrx shows around 25-35psi at idle (after warm up) and around 80-90 give or take 10 psi when driving. Just wondering what the 2.2 looks like.

For anyone else interested, I found a FSM for the '92 Legacy. It shows 14 psi at 600 rpms and 43 psi at 5000 rpms. This is the same for the N/A as it is for the turbo, the only difference is that the turbo oil pump flows more units per minute (or gal/hour or whatever).
This seems to go against the notion that you need the EJ22T oil pump when you swap from the EJ205 to the EJ22T because of the fact that it is higher pressure..... It may be the same but just flows more.

ej22t oil pump is the same as 2.5 DOHC oil pump.

So it has the shim in it, unlike the other pumps?

Take a look at this thread
http://www.bbs.legacycentral.org/viewtopic.php?t=18697

The factory manuals say the oil pressure is roughly similar between the turbo legacy ej22t and wrx ej20t.

you can have too much pressure.
it flows more to keep the same pressure as an NA motor, while having enough flow to support the engine, turbo, and oil squirters.

You can have too much pressure. Too much pressure will blow out oil seals.

Pressure wont blow out seals. The only seal that might see any oil pressure is the rear main. It has an oil return path in the block, if this get plugged with silicon during assembly then it is possible to blow out the seal. Other then that the seals are just keeping the oil in with no pressure on them.
