How would this work?
Dude, last time I was at LACR with my Viggen there were two really really really slow Evo's. They were getting decent short-times 1.8-2.0 ... but running 15.5-16.0 ...

I let my friend drive the Viggen and, of course, when he drove it, one of the Evo's lined up next to him! You should have heard the crowd when the Saab got the win light! ROFLMAO

explanation: The Evo guys were idiots (ok, maybe not idiots, but not very turbo-savy) and were idling all 20 minutes between each run in the staging lanes. My car was turned off except for one minute before each run. Heat soak is a real bytch.

The track is also at over 3,000 ft and here in Cali with 91 octane in case some people here don't know. When I ran it was also 85*F and like 20% humidity despite being 9 pm. Almost every turbo-car at the track was running REAL slow. Combine that with some nasty heat soak and ... well ... 15.5 in an Evo as your best time of the night says it all.

Adrian~

I'm down near San Bernardino. Haven't made it up to LACR for a while. I usually only go in the summer. Winter in Palmdale sucks. Dry, cold, windy and virtually zero shelter at the track. It's much more fun to hang out there on warm summer nights.
