Default Which basemap should I start with?

Mod list,
Ver 7 shortblock
WRX heads
Perrin Big Maf
Modded stock injectors
catless turbo back
Deadbolt SZ49
Tial 38mm external wastegate
Crower stage 2s and valvetrain upgrade

I have a UTEC tuning appointment in a couple of weeks and need to get my car running well enough to make it there. I am wondering what map I should start with to do this. I know I will have to scale the injectors with the UTEC to get it idleing normal but how will I have to adjust the map right away in terms of fuel and timing to compensate for the External wastegate/Big Maf combo? I do not have a wideband, only an EGT gauge.

thanks

Rob

Man basemaps aren’t going to do you crap but get you back and forth to the tuner. I’m running the classic Stage-II and using the TXS “generic” map and the tune is way off with numbers which are far too conservative. The base maps are nothing more than a good reference point to start from…

Good luck…

Load the stage 4 timing map and leave 0's in your whole fuel map. Stock injectors at 420, and raise the modded value 20 at a time til your car runs at an a/f ratio of around 14.7 to 1. Don't go to hard throttle(stay under 25% throttle). At least that's what I'd do, course I'm no expert.

peace
