Default Stock boost solenoid pics?

Sorry for noob Q, but can someone post a pic of this? I got a bunch of sensors, hoses, ect with my motor, and think I have found it, but would like some reassurance!

Muchas gracias!

Randy

I don't have any pictures but can tell you it is part of a two piece assmbly. One sensor is red and the other is black and they mount on the passenger side strut tower. BTW, my info pertains to older cars. I am usure of the location of a USDM WRX. You should tell us the spec of your swap so we know what you need.

I have one off a '94 WRX if you do need an older one...

you talking about the wastegate solenoid??

if so, its blue, mounts on the passenger side strut tower by the fender.. Has 2 hoses that come off of it.. 1 splits.. those go to the turbo and wastegate actuator, the other goes up by the intake tube.

Oh, its an 02 EJ205. And yes the wastegate soleniod. Hmm, ok, The piece I was think of was a small black thingy with 2 vacuum hoses comming of it. I probably dont have it. Guess its EBC time. Any suggestions? I am thinking of this instead of an MBC and boost guage. Really dont want the boost guage to keep my setup, "on the down low."

If I were you, I'd get the car running stock first.

Just my $.02..... post a pic of what you've got and I can tell you if its the boost solenoid.

I second getting it running in stock form first. After it runs like it's supposed to, then mod it. Here's pic of the wastegate on our 02 STI (Ver8 EJ207, brembos, 6 speed with R180)

and my 1995 Legacy with an EJ205.
