Default Do the doors at your work beep if left open?

Well not every door but all of them that have the card readers on them.. The training room for this area is right down the hall. The trainer stuffed a trash can in the door to keep it open since he doesn't have a badge. Soon after it starts with this ear piercing high-pitched beep. So I just walked over without saying a word to him and shut the door. Usually I can just swipe my badge and it will shut up but today it did not.. [/beeprant]
This happen at others works?

We have these high tech automatic turnstiles here at work. You can get into the lobby with no problems, but getting past security is another issue.

If I leave a door open at work, DPS shows up with MP5s and gas masks.

Same here, we're locked down like a prison. We also have a guard at the other entrances (random) that checks to see if you have a camera phone or are bringing anything in and out.

We're allowed to have camera phones, but you can't take any pictures of the lobby/security area. We also have roaming guards. They're all cool guys.

no guards but this is a secure building, can't get in during non business hours unless authorized. Even during business hours you can't get passed the lobby as the front doors are the only ones that are "open"

nope, the doors in the tv station do not beep because we're ghetto enough to still be using keys, yes.. metal keys. With all the super expensive isht we have in here you'd think they'd make the investment into magnetic card readers
