Smile UTEC TPS Cross Over Point

HI,
what is the default TPS cross over point?

I come across 60% and 25%, which is the correct values?

Can I change it to 10%?

Thks

Cheers

If you're using the Open Loop Fueling feature of the newer UTECs, the parameter in the Open Loop Fueling parameters section applies, with a default of 25%. If you're not using Open Loop Fueling, the other parameter (Tuner Constants? I forget where it lives) applies, with a default of 60%.

If you're using OLF, you can pick any value you want, although it's kinda pointless to go into open loop at 10%. I find somewhere in the 25-35% range works well for me, to keep it in closed loop for normal driving.

If you're not using OLF, it won't do you any good, from a fueling perspective, to set it lower than 60% - it could in fact be dangerous, since you're applying fueling corrections to values the ECU is using in closed-loop mode. It's best to just leave it at 60% so it takes over when the stock ECU does.

If you have a choice, I would definitely run OLF though.

No you can't. There's a minimum amount you can set the tps crossover to(I forget it's either 20 or 25%). You can manipulate the way the utec see's throttle position to get a lower crossover point, but noone really does that as far as I know.

A 25-35% tps isn't the best crossover for everyone. If you're running a wrx with a stock turbo, injectors, and intake, the tps could be set a bit higher(upto 60%) as long as the boost is kept low below the tps crossover.

peace
