Glossy........

unless you want it to look like all your wheel covers were stolen. In that case flat black

What are you using to paint them?

I tried to make my Subzeroes glossy black. I followed the Duplicolor instructions. But they ended up flat black

Eh, they are just autox wheels.

I vote for glossy. On some other wheels I had I just used a glossy paint, not a wheel-specific spray or anything. Truly flat paint makes the weels look very black, very industrial, and very not good looking (technical term) - they basically just absorb any light & don't shine at all. If you're really curious to see what it looks like, do the first coat flat, give it some time to dry/cure, and then see what you think. I bet you'll be going w/ glossy for your 2nd coat.

The best advice I have for you is take your time, hold the can a good 18 inches from the tire, take your time, be very precise & methodical w/ your spray pattern (don't just start spraying away at random & think that eventually the wheels will all be the same color), take your time, and allow plenty of time to dry between coats. You don't need to go crazy, but I think 2 - 3 hours between coats is good. Where are you painting them - if you can paint in an enclosed area so no dust/leaves/whopper wrappers can blow on them, thats a bonus, plus I think it helps w/ coverage. I've painted some in my mom's garage, & will be painting a stock set that's currently gold in my garage soon. Also, make sure the wheels are clean & there are no flakes of anything.

Glossy, they will stay cleaner by alloying stuff to slide off, and are probably harder to scratch. Seriosly, if i were to do it over it would be STi Pink.

I bought glossy, went home, started cleaning the wheels, and Jared noticed the offset. 40. Range for my car and 17" wheels is 50-53.

So now I'm in the market for wheels.
