Default [EGT,OIL]Where is the best place to install the sensors to my gauges in the engine?

I own a 2004 sti and have resisted major mods till now. I am planning for my future project so I thought it would be a good Idea to start off with some important guages.
I just recently purchased an oil temp, oil pressure, exhaust gas temp. and boost gauge but have little clue on where to find the info on where to place the sensors so I am asking for help.
I have heard there is a place already taped in the up pipe on the sti, is this true all I can see is the factory sensor.
On my wifes car the oil drain plug is tapped and the oil temp sensor is placed there. It seems like a stupid spot but thats how it came from the factory.
I want to thank everyone in advance for your help.
Once this is done a deadbolt superzilla will go in along with aps deletes etc....

boost gauge - tap the smaller hose comming off the bov

egt - uppipe and downpipe are crappy spots to put it, for most accurate readings tap the exhaust manifold on passenger or driver side.

oil temp and pressure - you have few choices here you can get an oil filter sandwich adapter and install the gauges there( something like this http://www.wrxtra.com/cat_7.html) or you can use the oil ports next to ic and alternator.

there is one exactly like it near alternator but the factory dummy oil light is hooked up there(its useless and its ok to replace it with a proper gauge)

Thanks axan! The egt is then only watching one bank?
Not like the old air cooled setups then but I suppose this will work. I will end up most likly going to the passenger side till I find a better solution.
Which is the cylinder that always goes in the subaru? iIs it the #3 or is it #4?
man that sandwitch is pricy I think i have an old bugpack one lying around. Beter yet I may check on the other spots.
