the vf10 was the LegT turbo, right? ur saying that a td05-16g has the same spool up charachteristics? a little shocking.

Did you notice a change in intake temps? Are you using an MBC for boost? or is the TEC 2 running boost?

not identical spool but still pretty good

i made some changes i still haven't opened her up all the way still at .8 bar on the way to 1.2
i have to change the map sensor to a 3 bar and start all over again
i suspect that the narrow tec o2 sensor isn't telling me what i need to know .. (4th gear 5.5k rpm, 175kpa, 13.0 to 1, zero knock, 700C egts) i can't seem to get it lower than 13 to one ..

i have never really looked at the intake temps the tec corrects for them any way
still using a mbc .. need a EBC badly

Hey Jaxx, what coils are you using for your ej20g? I'm going to have to go the replacement coil way before I upgrade the turbo.
Thanks
Frazer

Hmm, so you converted the 4 coil setup to this two coil set up right? Where did you get them? Cost, how hard were they to set up?

Jaxx,
Nice to see the car move forward. That turbo should do you quite nicely. Your garage sounds like mine. My Vf-29 has been sitting for a year and a half, and is still six months from going in a car. But I finally acquired an engine worthy of it, so I am getting there...

the tec 2 is a standalon that date back to the RST(2000ish) days its is a full standalone.. vishnu mades kits for subaru adaption
the newest version the tec3r is very cool .. but expensive

the systems uses wasted spark and closed port injector pulse (2 coils 2 injector channels) used alot by domestic guys

i am at 85% idc so i guess its time to put the 550cc injectors in :P

I put a TD05-16G (ported from Deadbolt) on my Legacy turbo motor last month. It is only running the 7psi wastegate right now, don't want to overwhelm my fuel system. It seems to spool simular to the old turbo and yes, has lots of top end power.
The car is not tuned and is running rich (for safety), I hope to do a little tuning now that I have a wideband.
