Question about my OEM HID kit -- swapping bulbs
I have the JDM OEM 2001 STi Projectors with the black chrome housing.
They come with 4000K HID bulbs and OEM ballasts (Philips I assume). They're bright, but I want more of a bluish look. My question is, if I wanted to switch the 4000k HID bulbs to Philip 6000k bulbs, would a bulb swap work with my current setup? Or would I need to get an entire new HID kit (6000k bulbs + ballasts) and replace my OEM kit with that?

yes, i got a 5,000k hid kit but wanted it more white so I exchanged the bulbs with the vendor for some 4,500k bulbs. ballasts are universal in terms of color, the bulbs are what changes the color. They burn at certain temperatures.
