I'm interested in these new Prodrives that don't lower the car much. Can someone please provide measurements?

well it's been a few days and the car has settled some. It handles like everyone says it would ....and the rear gap is just about 2 fingers widths, the fronts around 3. They're really nice for daily driving, and seems to be a good match w/ the stock sti KYB struts.

I'm thinking of keeping them in till the winter is over then switching to a set of coilovers or lower springs lol.
cool...so you can sell them to me when your done

Mark, we're going to try this setup on slvrwgn's car soon. a buddy of ours is putting Group 4's on his car and we are going to put his Prodrive/V8 combo on slvrwgn's wagon, just for him to try out. We'll see how the ride heights are, etc. I know that one guy has already tried these on a wagon but I can remember who nor what thread he was on. ergh.

Got JDM pinks from myles and group N rear mounts and Racecomp camber plates in front. I really like the drop and the Car, STI 05 has a canted look. The ride is more compliant but firmer. Most of the bobble are gone with the stock seats. Having a bigger front sway bar did not affect the ride too much. Don't know if the rear bar will. Still thinkng of want to get in the rear. Whiteline, Cusco or others. I may take Myles suggestion on the cusco since he had them on the car for a awhile and no issues on squeeks.

Too bad I cannot post pics. What is the deal with getting pics on this website?

Just placed an order from Myles for the pinks. I was a big fan of the Prodrives on my WRX but sounds like the pinks are a betting choice for me this time around.

Just to complicate things. How do the STI RA springs compare to the pinks? Does it make any difference what chassis it is? Mine is a 2000 2.5 RS 4 door.

But Racecomp does list STI lowering springs (I assume those are the pinks) RCE2116 and RA springs RCE2113 for the GC chassis.

2116 is made for the GC chassis they are GC8 STI pink springs.
They lower the car around 30mm. They have a 34N/mm front spring rate and a 30N/mm rear spring rate. There are other springs available that are made by STI with stiffer rates such as the Gymkhana springs and STI SportA and STI SportB. There are also struts made for those specific springs to compliment them.

Group end tops are also available for your car.
PM us if you are interested in pricing

What is the model # for the new Prodrive springs? I have an 04 sti with Tein H springs and the car is lowered 1"F and 0.6" but the springs rates are not high enough to compensate for the bounciness.

The STi Prodrives are pink or red, and the WRX ones are blue, I think. You'd want the blue.

The latest ones from Prodrive have S05/D5/001 marked on them. I had the previous ones beforehand (uninstalled, exchanged for the new ones when they came out) and wrote down the part number, but can't find it now... I am pretty sure they had an "04" instead of an "05" in the number.

That said, I am not sure you would want the newer ones if you have an '04. The way I understand it the new ones are specifically designed to match the '05; how they are different, who knows.

A few more comments, to make things even less clear, as it seems there have been a couple of changes to the Prodrive springs over the past year.

The springs I got back in May had a part #US4/D5/001. I ordered those based partly on the original post to this thread, and other posts Myles made at the time. But shortly after I got them there were rumors of new ones coming, specifically designed for the '05, so I held off on the install and Prodrive exchanged them once the 05's came out. That was only a couple months ago. I don't even know if the "S05" part has been officially released.

From what I have gathered talking to various people the "US4" part number went through at least a couple revisions - an original run, which was actually blue, then the red ones, then an update to the red ones, which was the basis for this thread.

If you were buying used ones, I am not sure if you could distinguish between "new" US4s and "old" US4s beyond having a general idea of when they were originally purchased.
