At the Track Great way to spend $200

Hey Guys,

Did the Solo 1 course at Race City for $200. Class time Thursday and then on the track from 8:00 to 3:45 on Saturday(ran out of gas )

Started with some very informative seat time in my instructor's M3. This was followed by some drills with the instructor in the seat. After that we moved to full laps (again with an instructor in the seat giving direction and pointers). This was followed with some runs on my own and then an instructor showing me what my car could do, followed with some more time on my own / following an instructor on the course.

Now, don't get me wrong. This wasn't a hand holding day but more of a "Maybe try this next time, go faster, trust your car, what could you have done better, etc, etc.".

Very, very positive. The instructors ranged from ex-racers to BMW instructors; there was even a rally guy.

If the Solo 1 guys offer the option of just taking the course next year I'd definitely say it is worth doing.
