Default Unichip offered as a stand alone unit?

Does anyone know if I can use the Unichip with my current boost controller (Blitz SSBC), or do I have to use a MBC? In addition to the EBC, I already have the MRT 3" turbo-back GT, and K&N panel. TIA.

Default Yes you can

Hey Diz,

You can certainly do this. You just dont need the separate boost control module that comes with the UniChip. You will then have to question whoever tunes your UniChip about the settings so that you can adjust your boost controller to work with the piggyback unit to adjust boost by gear/rpm, etc.

Does anyone know what features are included in the Unichip Boost Control Module, and how it differs from a EBC like HKS EVC-IV or Apex AVC-R?

thanks,
ryan

As I understand it (still learning) the UniChip boost control module is an add on package which allows the UniChip program to work completely seamlessly with the factory boost control electronics. The thing that makes this advantageous for us is the fact that fuel/timing/boost/etc. can all be controlled by the UniChip program and make for a very smooth and seamless install on top of the factory program. As I understand, the boost control module has very granular adjustments based on gear, rpm, etc. - Gimme a little time and I will see if I can come up with some more details about it.
