Default utec compatible for new shortblock?

im getting the package s3 from crawford, i want to know if my utec can handle this? can i still use my stock ecu? or do i have to get ecutek? thank you

No reason why it can't if you're using the heads you had before the shortblock swap.

It's compatible, but maybe not the best choice. It would probably be good to have some type of engine management which would be able to adjust part throttle settings(like timing and what not). Course, I'm just talkin outta my ass on this one(since I have no experience with shortblock changes).
