Default Everything I thought I knew turns out to be wrong

I bought a carbon fiber gauge pod for the ol' wrx.

It was delivered to day...and *GASP*, it's damaged! *runs off crying*

There's a seperation of the two main pieces in the front corner. I may be able to fix it w/ some two ton epoxy, otherwise, I have to hope to be able to return/exchange it. Crap... Needed this for this weekend...

I understand. For years, I thought the Piggly Wiggly was the fake grocery stores from movies. (similar to the 555 phone number.) I was talking to someone about this and said "You know, it's fake, like The Sizzler is the fake restaurant from the the movies." When they said that was real, too, it was like my reality was crumbling around me!

Silly Putty (tm) would be more upscale than epoxy.

Nobody said it can't be damaged. It's just hard to do, e.g. requires a hydraulic press or something.

man, I have a friend who bought a big 6-speaker bass cab a while ago, direct from the manufacturer. Shipped UPS, showed up damaged. Returned, replaced, showed up damaged. Returned replaced, showed up damaged. Returned, replaced, shipped with a "ghost rider" to findout what happened... turns out anything too big to lift eaasily, the guys at the framingham UPS hub would just kick it off the back of the truck. Whole shift got fired, friend got an un-damaged cab. UPS is teh awesome...
