Angry Messed up cluster

I was doing the gauge lighting mod. When I pulled back the gauge face to check my progress the needle popped off the speedo. Then I was doing the tach and the needle popped off that too, but when it came of the shft that it sits on came out with it I put it back together, turned ignition on, anbd placed the speedo and tach needles in place. Then I started the car, the tach didnt move, I tapped the face and the needle jumped to 2500 and stayed there. I revved it and the needle didnt move. I took the car for a test drive and the speedo doesnt work either, stayed at 0. Do I need a new cluster or can I repair mine? Any help is greatly appreciated Thanks, Frankie

Unfortunately the answer is you probably need a new cluster. Very often this happens when people mess with the needles to change gauge faces, although it may have happened by accident in your case the result is still the same. Check the Private Classifieds for used clusters for sale, there are usually some there. Otherwise look in local junkyards.
