Default Props to frontier Winnipeg.

Took my car in for the dreaded clutch shudder (2nd time), getting an entire new clutch and flywheel on warrenty, plus they noticed my wheel bearing was going and are doing that too.

Thanks guy's.

I think it was due to the fact that Frontier was outselling them. Either way, Marion's was a good location but Frontier has a nicer place.

Subaru/Frontier need to step up and get a whole new place altogether. They have great products and need a great place to show it off.

mmmm got the clutch done yesterday, feels REALLY different now the pedal is way lighter. I'm waiting for the invoice to come in the mail so I can get the PN's and actually see what they used.

this is going to take alot of getting used to

Yeah, I agree with you in that Frontier was outselling Marion. That and Marion did not sell the whole line of Subaru... Weird I know but when we went to buy my g/f's Impreza, the Marion place said they don't and won't sell it. They only sell Outbacks and Legacy's and the lead times were ridiculous in comparison to what Frontier had. Also, the place was really dingy with no character whatsoever. It doesn't help when Birchwood BMW was across the street and you can see their nice showroom.

On the other hand, I can't wait until Autohaus opens again. I just want to go to the Porsche side and drool on whatever gallery car they have displayed. I remember going there a while ago and it felt weird to see a 911 Carrera alongside a Passat...

Yeah autohaus promises that the new grand opening will be something that winnipeg has never seen. I can't wait. Should be a crazy dealership w/ their video wall and what not.

I think Autohaus' new place should be the standard of what all new dealerships should look and be like.

Frontier.....are you listening? Subaru makes an awesome product, but it would be nice to go to a great dealership! BMW's is up for sale! Buy it and really give marion a final nail in the coffin.

Let's list some dead dealerships that Frontier could go to:

1. Birchwood Bmw - nice and centralized.
2. Crown/ Sunshine Toyota's place on Pembina. The crown acura location would be suitable, not overly huge just right.
3. I believe there's a chrysler location on portage near the Superstore, this place would be big. Big big big.

Maybe... maybe not! Actually, I've been busy with work, helping my mechanic on this 89 RX-7 TII (gawd, sometimes I hate turbos...), visiting some relatives in Van, and trying to resolve this PITA health card issue in Van with my g/f during her father's burst appendix operation. Short story is father had operation, health card expired, tried to renew, question her father's residency (he's not a citizen but a landed immigrant), go through a mess of a passport trying to pick out dates to show that he's been around as well as proof of taxes paid with his business etc... Overall, been VERY busy but finally it's coming down. Also, I was blasting around in a 99 Miata. Damn those things are nice on summer days.

Speaking of which, I saw you drive by Pembina just as I came back from tennis around 7:15 last night. Talking on the cell phone while you're driving... you should know better!

The one thing I like about Frontier's current location are the variety of roads you can test a car. Normal traffic, go down Regent/Nairn. Some smoother highways, go down Lagimodiere. Dirt and bumpy roads, go around Springfield road. Man, I still have fits of excitement the last time I went around on the dirt trails on the test drives.

Still, if they moved closer to home, it sure would be a time saver and it's current locale is really out of the way compared to the cluster on the main strip.

Oh... There will be a new member of the Subaru car owners. I got my friend to buy a Subaru (TS wagon) and it's in Winnipeg already. So if you see a green (yes, GREEN!! The only green MY02 Subaru in Winnipeg according to Monique) TS, show him some I-Club love! I'm still amazed at the kind of deal you get with the TS though...

If they had of had a 2.5 wagon in the old body stle I would have bought one.

Tell him to build it up, that would be one hell of a sleeper!!!

I think they were selling for 22,5-23 in comparison to the 27-28 for the RS. Still the same old no haggle deal with Frontier but in comparison to what you get with the RS, the money saved from buying the RS goes a long way. Essentially, he gets a wagon body on a RS chassis, engine and drivetrain except the TS gets 15" steel wheels, softer suspension setup and some minor cosmetic changes such as no body colored mirrors or door guards. So with the 4k he saves, he can buy some good rims and tires and a good suspension setup and he would already be ahead of the stock RS for near the same amount of money. Even if decides not to mod it, he still gets Subaru AWD and 2.5L power for a good price.

When he told Monique he wanted green, Monique was kind of taken aback. Nobody had ever asked for green before but he will enjoy it nonetheless. He should get it on the 8th I think and I know he will have to restrain himself with the break in period.

Already thinking about it and being an avid F1 and rally enthusiast, it shouldn't take too long before he starts playing.
