Default GC8 Front Strut Bar that clears intercooler?

Hi,

Would anyone happen to know where I might be able to obtain a front strut bar that will clear an STI top mount intercooler? I know I can buy a carbon fiber one on ebay, but isn't there a cheaper option?

cusco and Sti CF ones both fit.
I am not sure if you upgrade the bigger TMIC in the future.

Hey Sam, check out this thread: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...96&postcount=1

They probably still have the bar. I was interested in it a while back, but decided my money could be better spent elsewhere (like a new engine).

Hope the swap is successful.

Mick

Absolutely. Performance > Handling > Looks
That said, I have the new engine, and I used to have a front strut bar (which I'm getting rid of for $40 BTW ), and I was hoping I could get one that would chear the TMIC... But for $250, I'd much rather spend the money elsewhere.
Yeah, I really hope the swap is sucessful too... I'm probably going to be paying for this off my credit cards well into the next year
But when its all done, I'm sure I'll turn the ignition key and it'll all be worth it... At least until the 280HP on tap breaks my transmission.
