Grimlock- AMEN!

I went by Hiro Protagonist on another board for a long time... What a great book.

Have you read Cryptonomicon yet? You can borrow my copy if you want, I've got everything Stephenson has ever written.

In that case, I'd love to get my hands on The Big U. I've read everything else. Have you read Interface? He used a pen name for that one...

That's pretty much how I learned the limits of my old car. I hope you learned to be more careful and be thankful you didn't wreck you mom's car.

no offence but that was a really pointless story since the car isn't even yours. and its really not good to put the tranny into L and rev the crap out of it.

great not only kill yourself, but kill your nephew. dude you are stupid for many reasons. sure a subaru is a good car, but as the old saying goes: "what part of the car causes the most accidents" "the NUTT behind the wheele" seriously dude, i work in am emergency room trauma center just north of boston, and i see people mauled paralized, in severe pain and killins over this crap all the time. and the person who gets hurt is the innocent one, not the stupid litle jerk behind the wheel who doesnt knwo what he is doing, like it should be.
1 buy your own car then go mess that up. dont take your moms stuff.
2 you obviously dont know how to drive, you are ONLY 15 and dont even have a permit. kids my age who have been driving for 3-4-5 years wont even do that stuff. thats just your immaturity shining through. that was the most stupid thing you could have done. i think you would have been better off in the long run by smashing the thing up. then u would have learned, and not gotten a license, and the would would be a safer place with little immature children like you off the road! trust me, I see dead people all the time because of people like you. and its not just you who gets hurt, think about your family. if you kill yourself being stupid think how they are going to feel. the hardest thing i have heard to do it to bury your children! dont let it happen to you! think twice before doing stupid stuff like that.

Hey, have you ever read Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson? If so, you have a rare sense of humor. If not, you should give it a read to discover how appropriate the handle you've chosen is.

Can I get an Amen?

Yikes dude.

I hope you checked the tire pressures, brake lines, and the torque on the wheel lug nuts before doing all that.

I wouldn't ever do anything like that in my mom's car without checking it over first (AND AFTER)... You know how most people are regarding cars... if it is still running then it's fine! NO! That's wrong! Dangerous!

Dude, before your mom gets back in HER car please go check it out for her. Check the lug nuts, look underneath for any leaking fluid, fix the tire pressures, etc etc etc.

You really want your mom to flip the car because a wheel came off that was loosened when you went up on that rock mound?

There's some uptight, even violent people responding to this thread! Threats of "whooping your arse" and such. Sheesh.

I dare say that this is de rigeur of many young kids...and always will be!! Hell, when I was 15, I had motorcycle fever, and I'd look up bikes for sale and go B.S. my way into "test riding" them! Farm kids rod their dad's pickups, city kids race their mom's Camry, kids are kids and we all know we do some dumb things when we are young! So remember who this is...a 15-year old!

I'll remind you that plenty of 15-year olds are pregnant, in jail for murder, sniffing glue, shooting smack, dropping out of school, and yes, out on the streets driving crazy. I could be killed tonight. I don't condone abusing a parent's car or driving stupid! But being a teen is crazy--it's called growing up and maturing. It's also called REALITY, accept it. If I worried about all the new teen drivers (or the old, half-blind, senior citizens) I'd probably never leave the house!!
