Default MY02 RS w/WRX hood?

Is it possible? Does anyone have a RS w/WRX hood? Also, are there any moded MY02 RS? Cause all we ever see is WRX(not that I dont like the WRX) Post your moded MY02 RS please.

Thanks,
jonathan

I checked into it with my dealership and they said that 's its no problem to put the WRX hood on the RS. Just an easy swap but the hood is ridiculously expensive so I'm hoping for a carbon fibre alternative.

Does anybody know of any CF hoods for the 02 WRX/RS???

Give me another month and I'll post some pics of my modded RS

The wrx fits right on a rs....someone on this board has done it.

My car is too dirty to show at the moment...it has a few mods.

There are like 10 02RS's on the board compared to all the wrx's that's why

Peter Baio (burnout) ordered his car like this from the dealer. No problem. He also got White with white leather!!! P-I-M-P or what?

I'd do it, and not for the hood scoop but for the 20lbs weight savings

And yes, over on the Vendor classifieds theres a Carbon Fiber hood sale going on for like $400... Wont ding easy like the Aluminum and is just as light, but you have to pin it down and paint it if you dont like it mis-matching your car.

As for moded RS's, DoctorNick is putting a Cobb Intake in his car aparently, and quite a few people have done K+N intakes as well as putting in the WRX rear sway bar (which im going to be doing soon on my cousins car)

Hey Subies - quick question...why are you wondering? Your tag says "parking space for 2003 WRX". Having second thoughts or funding issues?

Anyway, here's what I have on my 02 RS (only pics of the badge):
Cobb intake - sweeeeeeeet
Whiteline 20-22-24 adjustable rear anti-sway bar
Whiteline rear end links
Whiteline HD mounting brackets
Red badge (I heard it adds a few HP )
Trunk light (kinda pissed it wasn't standard)
Fumotovalve - haven't changed the oil since install
De-badged rear S U B A R U

To-do list:
Kartboy short shifter (hint: get the WRX version...it's really MY02)
Stromung SS dual tip cat-back
Window tint (black car + summer = HOT)
Wheels and tires
Headers - somebody is doing equal length w/ high flow cats in the near future
Cobb turbo cams
Morrette headlights (after the go...comes the show)
STi GT spoiler
ground effects kit (if I can find one I like)
Twin-turbo system of my own design (I just need to design it)

I don't know if I'll get the WRX hood...I may do a custom CF hood similar to the WRC hood. It depends on the turbo design.

ylexot,

I'm not having second thoughts of the WRX it just that there's a lot of WRX out there and not much RS. I love seeing WRX out on the board but I would also like to see what's up with the current RS, like what you RSer are doing w/your car.

A carbon fiber hood would be a good way to go. If you like the look of them, that is cus I don't think that you can paint them. Otherwise, much lighter than the aluminum one and usually strong enough to use the stock hood latches. Fiberglass hoods cannot use the latches, they need pins, but at ths same time they are much cheaper than carbon fiber, but at least they can be painted. BTW, how much is a stock aluminum hood?

$800? SOA rips people off. I rather get the CF hood for half the price.

Though the finish is exceptional, Carbon Fiber hoods can be painted -- at least the ones I can get/have gotten!

They'd be a perfect solution for the heavy RS hoods and owners who want the wrx scoop. Now... anyone want one?
