Default Question on lowered springs

Is it normal to hear the springs noise? I have Espiler GT springs. Front I can hear the slamming noise when I hit a small bump . While it didn't do that when it was stock. Rear end I hear the right side rattle after heavy pull 1st and 2nd gear and reverse. I know there was some issues with top hats on the rear for the 04 WRX. But this never happened until the new springs was installed. That's the best I can describe it. Everything is tight to spec.

I remember when mine were new on my wagon. I have tein s-techs and for about a month or so they would make a soft popping sound, I was pretty sure it was from when they were new. Now there're quiet as could be. But they only made that sound when I would come into steep driveways.

I have had it for almost 6 months now. I thought it would stop as well.

When you reassembled the springs and struts, did you ensure that the top plate (cup) was facing out? There should be 3 holes as I recall. If these are facing the wrong direction (either front, back or inside) it can cause the spring to compress at an angle causing a knocking or rattleing when you hit a bump.

Kleinfreak, I can't recall if I was paying attention to that. It seems that I re-installed it as logically as i removed the OEM springs.

Subiegal, I believe the front drops just a little under 1.5". Back .5" or no difference from stock.

The Espiler GT springs I just put on my FXT are a 30mm drop front and 20mm drop rear.
I bought the '04 WRX springs and they were put on the '04 STi factory struts. I have no NEW noises since the install.

I may have this same problem. I'll try what kleinfreak said.

You said you had a rattling noise sometimes... after installing my springs/struts (RS) I had a rattle when I reversed. It turned out that my rear cross member got bent somehow during the install
