Default 2001 RS STI 6 speed conversion (R180 rear diff question)

two fold...

1. If you have a thread related to this conversion (PRE-02 2.5RS to a STI 6 speed), please post them... all I have found are WRX swap info...

2. If I am to swap the rear diff and attached parts, what do I do about axles? The WRX is 20mm wider than the RS, so does that mean the axles are 20mm wider as well? Or is this a straight swap?

Any info related to this conversion is greatly appreciated!

Yes, I posted this in the tranny forum but got no answers.... I know there are people who have converted the RS to the 6 speed out there.... did they all do the final drive swap instead of the rear diff?

Get the rear with the hubs, axels, and brembos. Should do it.

I converted a 00 2.5rs 3years ago by using the rear axles from a late 80's Subaru SVX...
I haven't been able to track down which year of svx it was, but I THINK they are all the same... Good Luck!
