Default Any Recommendations for places to get parts installed in Calgary??

Hey Guys,

I'd rather have guys experienced with Subbies with their hands on my vehicle..

Any good or bad luck stories, recommendations?

Thanks.

Try Allmakes Auto Repair. Both of the principal owners used to work at Subaru, trained there, then opened up their own shop several years ago. They have good rates. They and their mechanics are very comfortable with upgrading suspension, brakes etc. They shy away from mods to engine internals. Maybe see TechWorks Engineering for that.

Ask SpideyWRX about all makes. Can you say uppipe bolts not tightened?

If you're into the Shadytree thing talk to Fragment. Excellent work and very fair prices.

umm.. yeah , the top bolts weren't even tight, the nuts were BARELY holding on with a thread... but I guess I can't complain, when it took them 6 1/2 hrs labor, and they only charged me 2.

don't really have the facilities to do that. I don't mind small things (I'll throw a Kartboy in this weekend) but since it's a daily driver, I don't want alot of downtime, and I'm not making my living by being a mechanic I figure a few dollars well spent with the right person is a good investment.

TBE + UP is basically what I'm looking at.

Those are pretty easy. I have helped on a few. Fragment would be a good guy to ask if you don't do it yourself.

Definitely not that tough. Just remember not to cut your O2 sensor wire. If you want to get your hands dirty, I'm sure a few of us Cowtown locals could give you a hand.

I can install the TBE for you, very easy to do and have done it a few times before. The UP will be harder to do though and will make the 1 1/2 hr tbe install into a full 5-6 hr install.

3-4 hrs for up-pipe? My buddy and I did mine in about an hour. The hard part is trying to wiggle out the stock piece!

3-4 hrs was for the first time I pulled/installed an up-pipe, oh, and tapped the headers for egt too. Now that I think about it, it could probly be done in an hour or two.

Ah, I see. I had to run back and forth for parts to tap for EGT, so wasted a good amount of time there as well. You're always bound to miss out on something even though you think you have everything you need.
