some question on engine swap on a GC8

Hello,

Some questions about the engine swap of GC8 with STi V7/V8 or USDM STi

if we swap the engine,then should we buy the exhaust/downpipe /up pipe parts for V7/V8/USDM STi or for the JDM GC8?

For the cruise control and air conditioning, should we use the one on the 2.5RS or we have to use others?

If you use the JDM air conditioning, you'll have to disconnect hoses and you'll loose the gas. So keep your GC8 unit.

you'll have to relocate the cruise control acuator if you keep it.. I just ditched mine.

Buy whatever exhaust you want. They all fit, but if you buy a JDM downpipe you will have to have something custom made or buy a JDM mid-pipe and catback as the JDM is about 2 inches shorter than the US versions. One exhasut hanger from the wrx/sti will not line up on the GC8. That's the only difference.

ditto; but pretty much any USDM exhaust will work, my current setup is a WRX Stromung Dual tip, and the only issue is the muffler third hanger, which in my opinion is worthless, the two muffler hangers should work if you have stiffer exhaust bushings, like the kartboy.
