Default 02 WRX Seats in 98 RS

Well I put my newly purchased WRX seats in my RS last night, and they hold me in the seat much better than my old seats the problem is they sit both closer and higher than the old seats do in relation to the front of the car. I am 6'5", so space is a big problem, and now I can't harldy heal/toe downshift because my legs are always touching the steering wheel. Any suggestions?

i've got the 04 driver seat in mine right now. .and it does sit up way higher than stock.. I'm 6'3", and it was weird at first, but they are much more supportive, so i kept it in there.. After about a week or so of driving around, you'll become used to it. I did. Just don't sit in stock seats ever again, and you'll never know.. lol

It does seem to be slightly off center from the wheel though.. and i shimmed 1 of the holes, to make it feel better.. its strange..

I wanted 04+ WRX seats since they are the same as the STi seats, but I settle for what was local and what I was willing to pay for. I am also worried that if the airbag goes off it will hit my chest instead of my head. My head also touches the cealing if I am in race position, and if I lean a few notches back I can still barly fit a helmet in there. Damn sun roof! I have to lean back thug style to be comfortable.
